Music

During worship at First Christian, you will experience music that is traditional but not stiff and reverent but not boring. Through the stirring anthems of the choir or the meditative notes of a piano solo, your spirit will be refreshed.

At various times of the years, you may hear a fanfare by a brass quartet or a quiet solo by a cello. Some Sundays a gospel trio may sing a rousing tune, and on others you may listen to a talented soloist from Missouri Western University or one of the area high schools. No matter the instrument or voice, the music at First Christian will help you to encounter the sacred in meaningful ways.

Check out the church newsletter and calendar for upcoming special music events. Recent events included a jazz concert by some of the best jazz musicians in Kansas City and St. Joseph.
